Dr. Laura Hines, B.Sc, DDS
Dr. Laura Hines grew up here in Pictou County
Dr. Laura Hines grew up here in Pictou County, and attended Dalhousie University, graduating with her B.Sc. in Biology and Psychology in 2005 and Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2010. She practiced in Kentville, NS then Amherst, NS. After sharing her clinical skills part time at River Hill Dental since 2019, Dr. Hines happily relocated back to Pictou County in 2021, joining the clinic full time that summer.
Dr. Hines practices all aspects of general dentistry, and continues to expand her skillset and education to optimally serve her patients. She has additional training in Invisalign and cosmetic dentistry, is a member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association’s Member Wellness Committee, and is active in the East Coast Endodontic Study Club.
Dr. Laura loves the fusion of art and science in dentistry, and her artistic talents go beyond the dental chair. Her paintings are in high demand, including commissioned work for the QEII Dream Home in 2020. Check out her work at @_abercrombieart_ on Instagram!
In addition to her painting, Dr. Hines spends her spare time staying active and enjoying life with her daughter, Caroline. She has a gift of creating a welcoming, comfortable, relaxed environment for her patients, fostering relationships based on transparency and trust.
