Dr. C. Amanda Hill, DDS
Dr. Amanda grew up in Pictou, and is proud to be back “home.”
Dr. Amanda Hill has been practicing dentistry in Pictou County since she graduated from dental school in 2008. A Pictou Academy graduate, Amanda attended StFX University before being granted early acceptance to Dalhousie’s Faculty of Dentistry. She received the Canadian Dental Association President’s Award for “outstanding qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and humanity.”
Dr. Hill was named by 21inc in 2015 as one of the Top 50 Under-40 Leaders in Atlantic Canada, for her leadership and passion for community. Amanda is very involved in her local area, from speaking, to coaching, to singing, and has volunteer experience ranging from Big Brothers Big Sisters to the United Way and much more. Dr. Hill is also very engaged in her profession, serving several terms as President of the Northern NS Dental Society, various Nova Scotia Dental Association working groups, and national committees including representing our province on the Canadian Dental Association’s “Future of the Profession” Task Force. She has received numerous awards and distinctions.
After over nine years of practice in Pictou County, Dr. Amanda was excited to open her own clinic in the summer of 2017. With special interests in cosmetic and implant dentistry, she is experienced and skilled in all aspects of general dentistry, and treats patients from infants to seniors. Dr. Hill is a self-proclaimed ‘dental nerd’ who loves learning; she keeps her knowledge current with frequent training both virtually and across North America in a broad range of disciplines, such as Invisalign. Her confident and friendly approach puts her patients at ease, and she is known to cheerfully hum to them while she works.
Amanda loves her career and takes pride in her work, and enjoys seeing patients have their healthiest, brightest smiles! She can often be found roaming local trails and beaches with her husband, Joel, their baby girl, Myla, and sweet sheepdog Bizzy.
